What do we do?
Direct Instruction is a method of intense and direct teaching of specific learning concepts or skills. All parts of each lesson are important. Most of the time, only 10-15 percent of each lesson is new material while the rest is material from previous lessons as review. Students enjoy these lessons as they are consistently engaging and rewarding experiences.
Some of the programs we use are:
Language for Learning
Reading Mastery
SRA Corrective Reading
Reasoning and Writing
Spelling Mastery
Connecting Math Concepts
